Redact PDF (https://redact.bnj.app) is a browser-based PDF tool with two functions. (1) Redaction: the user opens a PDF, marks areas, and the tool removes the underlying text by rebuilding those pages from an image, then reopens the produced file and searches it to verify the marked text can no longer be extracted. (2) Fillable forms: it adds real AcroForm fields (text, checkbox, dropdown) to an existing PDF. ALL document processing happens inside the user's browser tab using WebAssembly/JavaScript — the PDF is never uploaded, and the service has no endpoint that accepts a document. Monetization: an optional subscription (weekly/monthly/yearly with a 24-hour free trial) that lifts the one-page limit and adds batch processing, saved field layouts and a downloadable verification report. There are NO user accounts, no passwords, no email addresses: a subscriber is identified only by a licence code in the form BNJ-XXXXXXXX which is stored in the browser and can be typed on another device to restore access. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never reach our servers. Free use requires nothing at all. No advertising, no third-party trackers other than self-hosted, cookieless Umami analytics.
